The Shadowy Composer of the Kama Sutra - Vatsyayana

A lot many individuals have seen of the Asia Women University Sutra the Hindu treatise on the art of love. However not many would have heard about mcdougal with this treatise particularly Vatsyayna. Richard Burton did turn the Kama sutra which was actually composed in Sanskrit. It seems he was Hindu and you can assume that he'd have already been from a caste probably a brahmin.This is much more likely as in these ancient times a Brahmin was said to be the custodian of intelligence and training and the lower casts such as the shudras had hardly any access to information and education.Again it is probable that Vatsyayana was a guy of influence and probably lived a luxurious life. He must have had a lot of free time available which he may commit on his writings. In addition the writer must have been steeped in Hindu thought and hence was in a position to read this part of Hindu philosophy.i.e. accomplishment of God and self recognition through tantric and sex.The amount of during which Vatsyayana existed cannot be pinpointed although we could produce a general review. From the Book it self, we discover he was a resident of Benares. This is very possible as Benares has for ages been a holy spot and seat of understanding of the saints and rishis of the Hindu religion. This is apparently taken from the Kama sutra. Today Varahamihira who had been from South Bengal is said to have existed throughout the sixth century A.D. For that reason it's possible to determine that Vatsyasana must have existed before him. And so I may place period of Vatsyayana's existence as perhaps from the first to another century AD. It's a pretty number of years back. But regardless of the time during which Vatsyayana existed, we should thank him for his treatise that is equally informative and educative.
