Are Funky Baby Clothes Great for the Baby?

As parents, a lot of us are drawn to buy funky applique onesie. Perhaps because we'd love to wear trendy clothes ourselves and sometimes our corporate life style stops us. But how about the impact of those ultra-cool baby clothes on children? Are they great or damaging?In my humble opinion, there's an extremely significant difference we should enjoy about our evolution... from the stages of toddlers to kiddies to adolescents to adults. And if we're in a position to see ourselves with the mind of the appropriate age-group, we will be making the best choices.Let us start with adults - what we are. We are folks of free-will who is able to make value judgments, examine contexts, costs and generally evaluate for ourselves what could be befitting in what conditions. We wear black (or white, based on our faith) at memorials, colors on birthday parties and odd clothes when we suspend out.Teenagers too do the same, however they are dependent on adults for money and consequently might have certain unaired dreams which reveal in adulthood...As for kids, this is the era that truly manipulates the parent. They understand what they want - wrongly or rightly - from television and their pester-power is remarkable, to express minimal. Generally they get away with trendy clothes also because they look sweet inside them and it's what their peer group is carrying anyway.But coming to toddlers, they are like toys for their parents. I've seen several that wear funky baby clothes, some of which proclaim they're the 'children of the demon.' Why? Because daddy wanted to function as 'devil' when he was a teen and was not permitted to vent it out. Today he dresses his toy to reveal him. Prima facie, no problem in that.The problem arises when others look at this so called cool baby romper and remark, 'oh, child of the devil have you been'? And even though they just keep it at that, when the baby grows up and concerns determine what the term demon means, complexities begin developing in his mind.We all know (I suppose) that the most influential years of human growth are between your ages of 6 months and 6 years. 80-acre of intellectual development is complete by the age of 6. So a 'daughter of the devil' mark is one we as parents nicely keep on our kids little knowing the impact that will have on their self-image and self-esteem in years to come.That said, I would encourage parents to check and feel younger by adorning the funky gowns on themselves and let cool baby clothes be funky in the pleasing, maybe not annoying, sense.
