I recently watched a film called, "The Promise." Therefore many small truths and realizations got out at me that I thought I'd share a number of them.

In the film, there wasn't only one assure made, there were many. And whilst the movie progressed, I realized that there are usually consequences to not keeping one's word. The harm does not only happen to yourself but also to the people who suffer loss from the broken word or promise.

If someone promises something and doesn't follow-through, then the person who was relying on and put their trust because person's word learns mistrust. That not enough trust might extend beyond the person who broke the promise towards others as well. Third reasoning, the design and health of a community could possibly be affected.

Thus, the lack of ethics is just a double-edged sword. It reduces both the recipient and the giver. The giver of the promise can no longer be trusted and could no longer business or work with the betrayed predicated on the strength of that person's word. Both parties have lost. If the ripples of infidelity extend beyond the two people, many people can be affected.

In the case of an individual relationship, the cost of a word is significantly more than just the loss of trust, it provides the inflicting of deep hurt on the individual who was trick. Like, the vows of marriage are allowed to be sacred. The emotional and personal price for breaking them can be harmful for both sides. Havoc can be wreaked by it to them as well, if there are others involved, such as young ones. Their lives will soon be interrupted by the separation of the family or at the minimum the following cloud of mistrust that exists between the leaders of the family.

In operation, a person's word needs to be good. How can you continue to conduct commerce, if you cannot hold true to your word, when that occurs and you cannot be trusted? Credit lines is going to be cut and personal contacts, which are so important in the business world, may be lost.

Ethics is important at every stage and in every part of society. Without integrity the very fabric of something, unit or society may begin to fall. Without integrity, what's a human being? An individual loses every thing through not enough integrity. He loses even respect for himself ultimately. If the reality of it dawns on him, he may also start to feel himself to be worthless.

The solution would be to cultivate strength. Attempt to be described as a great and honest person.

In reality, ethics is a thing that has been trained through the duration of history. It is hinted at everywhere, once you tune into it.
