The French, or as groundskeeper Willie describes them 'Cheese eatin surrender monkeys' (Google it), are distinguished throughout the world as one of the very elegant countries around. They offered us people like Coco Chanel, Catherine Deneuve & the simply stunning Brigitte Bardot all who'd more individual style than David Beckham, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and, although this really is hard to imagine, Myself set together. It happens to be exactly the same using their trend houses too! They've Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Christian Lacroix and Jean-Paul Gaultier while the rest of the world (excluding Italy which is the only country that may contend with the French here) have to create do with titles like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Next or Primark. Even though I notice that Primark are the new Prada...But for the past few years the French car manufacturers have now been allowing the side down in the style section with vehicles like the Renualt Aventime and Vel Sartis, http://www.cars4sa.co.za/used-cars/Peugeot 1007, 3008, 4007, 5008 and any Citroen it is possible to think about after the SM. Until lately, it had been managed by Peugeot just once with all the incredibly trendy 406 Coupe. Unfortuitously which was formed by Pininfarina who are Italian then doesn't count. At this point I would prefer to return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010. For those people who are unaware of this marvelous celebration held every summer, it is essentially a vehicle porn present for petrolheads! Virtually every vehicle maker under the sun is represented in one form or still another and the cars on exhibit variety from Bugatti Veyrons to Formula 1 cars, each of which work up the Goodwood Hill infront of 150,000 over 3 days at the beginning of July.I have already been before and definitely loved it but 2010 was a lot more unique for me, I was not only driving in this unique event but nerve-rackingly, I was to offer a pals 1 of 15, £1.5 million Lamborghini Reventon Roadster a proper thrashing for the crowd! Now I understand that little part was a bit off topic and I'll confess that there was a small amount of 'OI LOOK WHAT I DID' about it too but I am returning to my position so bear with me!I woke up at 8am on the Saturday morning feeling fresh as a daisy which could only suggest one of 2 issues, 1) I was absolutely sober and hadn't swallowed anywhere near the amount of alcohol I thought I'd, or 2) I was still rather merry from the rather modern evenings partying till 4am with the Ginetta boys and girls in the Winnebago next door to ours. I have a feeling it was alternative 2 because after I'd got dressed, legged it to the supercar paddock because we were running late, exposed the car, drove the car all about 50 yards simply to be told we had to reverse park down slope while they were running 45 minutes behind etc... the hangover really started to slip in and with no water and no food I started to view things... or at the least I thought I was because in front of the Veyron, 599 and Zonda GTO was a vehicle with A PEUGEOT BADGE!! JESUS what the hell did Rick Parfitt Jnr put in my drink to produce me see such things as that?? (great little z-list name dropping for you personally there )The matter was, I was not seeing things since 4 cars up was the new Peugeot created RCZ in all it is Bronze coloured glory, and I've to say that in terms of design it set a hell of lots of other cars in that convoy to waste as it's simply gorgeous. So I created a mental note to myself to talk to Peugeot and arrange for a demonstrator asap. That trial arrived in January (large waiting list obviously) in the form of the 2.0HDi GT with 163 bhp. My first impressions were WOW... Well-done Peugeot! This car is what I would describe as unconventionally beautiful, From the sweeping side report to rear screen and the bubble roof, Peugeot have managed what I can only describe as being a aesthetic masterpiece for this kind of cash. Okay, the front end is regrettably common Peugeot but it is super easy to forgive it that!Put the RCZ in a car park next to its opponents and it makes the TT look dull and the Scirocco look dated and tedious (that is some going because I enjoy the Scirocco). Inside, you have an extremely well laid out cabin with lots of space (excluding the trunk seats that are clearly only there for humor importance). The drive is very good too, though I'll state that the diesel engine felt like it could use an additional 25-30bhp but it does handle well through the sides and the body roll is kept to a minimum, even if sent and the tyres are just starting to inform you enough is enough. The fact that you car change the traveler airbag off meant that my 14 month old son managed to sit down in the top (good job really as he'd never have easily fit into the back aside from his car seat) which both he and I really loved and believe that it must be a standard feature on all cars.I really like this car even to the point where I questioned the MD if I could have one as a business car. Regrettably we have the very least 5 door vehicle plan which is REALLY disappointing but only means that I will have to use and touch up Peugeot for a 6 month test programme. Thanks for readingStuart McKay
