Windows XP Home Edition does not support IIS 

1. You might need to put your Windows XP Pro CD to the PC. 

2. Go to Control Panel, Add Eliminate Programs, then Add/Remove Windows Components. In the Windows Components window, place an always check mark 

beside Internet Information Services (IIS), then click next, then click end. 

3. All through installation, Windows creates a directory at C:inetpubwwwroot and places several files there. You can view the home page of your 

web browser by typing or (where COMPUTER_NAME is the actual name of your computer) to the 

Handle bar of any internet browser. You should see some basic IIS information in the net, if you havent put any files in C:inetpubwwwroot 

browser only at that address.
