Ive done some experiments in the last few months about expiring domains with PR to see if it is worth your while to get these expired and wiped domains. 

My idea why I'd like to use expired domains could be the opinion that old domains are favored than new domains, and to have quick PR. 

So I attempt to find deleted areas with PR that I could enroll. One feature of areas I was trying to find was that the domain still had a, and it was still shown in google. 

I won't be mentioning the actual domains here as I need to handle the outcomes and stop people from building backlinks to these domains. 

I registered about 4 domains, some have PR2 and PR3. Some have a few pages indexed, some have a few thousand. I also bought a few new domains for my new projects.  [http://www.zootoo.com/profile/ffnaennie/blog/entry/wholelifeinsuranceandwhypeople chris brady life]

I found out that google seldom trips these areas so I want to perfect it but with some new backlinks. After producing some backlinks to these domains, two their PR was eventually lost by domains. These two domains have just a few pages listed in google. In a single site, I did a 301 permanent redirect to the new index page. Its PR was retained by this domain. One key difference this domain has set alongside the other two is that this domain has thousands of pages found in google. 

In yet another domain, I did a 301 and redirect it to a fresh new domain. The result is that the new domain got indexed faster and more pages were indexed compared to another new domain I registered at the same time. However, PR was down to 0. 

There's also a case where used to do a 301 direct from a classic deleted area with PR and never got any benefit from it. 

In conclusion, there's still inconsistent results on whether getting deleted/expired areas. Some works, some won't. However, what seem to work is that 

a. Old remove domains does include traffic from existing backlinks. If the old area has a lot of backlinks, some traffic does be still generated by it. 

T. Other se's such as for instance google and bing don't seem to have an biases against expired/deleted areas.
