I am Stephen Hill from Birmingham in England. I began to stutter at age 4 or 5. My parents took me to lots of different types of speech therapy, some in groups, some on a to one basis. The kind of advice I was presented with to regulate my stutter or even to over come my stutter were various. They are some: 

slowing down my breath 

costal breathing 

Extended talk 

Going for a deep breath before I talked 

I'd started in the type called, preschool stutter. This expression is labelled by the stutter speech therapist or the stutter speech pathologist. My parents were reassured that many people who stutter in youth soon grow from the jawhorse. Well I was one particular who did not. 

The class was then joined by me called, youth stutter. I continued to wait speech therapy and joining in making use of their speech therapy activities and their speech therapy activities. 

I then advanced to the school called, adult stutter. I now decided that speech therapy wasn't really employed by me. 

I made a decision to try my own, personal kind of stutter self help. I can talk very well despite the fact that I'd a stutter, sometimes. For example when I was drunk, I talked not quite perfectly smooth. 

After very nearly a year I managed to over come my stutter and expel the stutter once and for all. As a vocation I now help other people to prevent stuttering. 

I provide various kinds of stuttering therapy, the most popular of which are one to one speech therapy classes which are held in Birmingham, England. I now offer three day courses as well because the original five day courses. For folks who would rather a type of stuttering self help, I offer a seventy moment dvd which also includes a written booklet called the class notes. These notes and the dvd have full descriptions of each of the techniques I show on the speech class along with the kinds of practice to use to allow those techniques becoming a normal area of the persons speech.
